Fanthorp Inn State Historic Site, Anderson, Texas

Stagecoach Days

May is Mother’s Day, picnics under shady trees, and colorful wildflowers in spring-green grass, homemade lemonade and bouquets of roses!  May awakens the senses and reminds us how important family and traditions are.
This May, why not begin your own family tradition by bringing the entire family to Fanthorp Inn State Historic Site for our Stagecoach Day event?  Pack a romantic lunch and picnic at the park; relaxing as the birds sing and enjoying the sweet strains of dulcimer music and the touching poetry of cowboy poet, Kenny Lewis. The event, including stagecoach rides to the courthouse and back and tours of the Inn, begins at 11:00 am and runs until 3:00 pm. So travel to the rolling green-clad hills of Grimes County and enjoy a day in Anderson at Fanthorp Inn! This event is priced just right - it’s Free!!
